Do people still think NSV has a place?  You seem to be able to get a lot of the content that you can get on it from other places.  Such as adult content on...adult websites, streaming, pirate, tv shows via on demand websites, amature videos via on demand sites like youtube and so on.

Does NSV still have a place or do you think there are other better methods for distrubing video content over the net?

2002-2005 and pirate TV programs were massive on it...porn is still quite a 'large' part of the directory Tongue.

I think people aren't that interested by it any more as there are so many places to watch the stuff people enjoy on there, on demand.   With things like sidereel.com, youtube.com and whatever adult website you choose.

Like you say.  I used to enjoy watching stuff through winamp...but I can get stuff on demand, at a better quality elsewhere so I do now.

I personally think it's got no place anymore. The reason being is that nullsoft didn't develop it enough. They released some tools to broadcast, but nothing else.

Maybe if they would of developed more broadcasting tools/features NSV may of been a more popular format. -- Even the web ActiveX control they developed was buggy.. Such a shame really.

I still use nsv for webcams on our live shows altho it's very limited now only internet explorer with the aol plugin, winamp and vlc support the file type which narrows down your potential audience by a considerable amount,

I think it still has a role in playback on autodjs and does look more professional than have youtube vids all over your site, quality wise it's way behind the new hd formatts but for a radio station on a limited budget nsv does provide some use.
